Not so Fast....

It's very difficult for me to post this. It has been quite a roller coaster week for us.

Saturday, H and I head to our new home and started painting. The owner was being very gracious and was letting us paint. We painted the living room, foyer, sitting room and the right side of the hall. I have ordered new furniture, bought light fixtures, ceiling fans....etc. my list goes on and on.

Monday, we had our home inspection. Due to it being a larger home, the inspector said that it would take about 4 hours. Trying to be proactive, I was going to paint and re-do the cabinets with the realtor (yes, she was going to help me...isn't that great!). In the midst of the inspection, he walks back in the house and told me to stop painting. I dropped the paint brush...literally. The joist and wood underneath the home is rotted with fungus! FUNGUS!! Obviously, that voided our contract. Homeless again.

My birthday lunch (my b-day was Monday), the realtor fed me chips, Milos sweet tea and chocolate ice cream! Woman after my own heart!! H called and said for me and the realtor to find a home, and after work, he will come and look at it. Off we go.....about 10 homes later, we (the realtor and I) found a great home! Yesterday morning we put a contract on it and we are now playing the waiting game. I don't play that game very well.

Since we didn't celebrate my b-day in any form or fashion on Monday......last night we go out to dinner. If you were sitting in Old V....you probably thought that we were mad at each other. Probably 2 words were spoken. We are drained and exhausted. Nothing much needs to be talked about until we find out if we are still homeless or not.

As nauseating as I am.....I see God's providence in all of this. He is looking out for us and providing a way and a great home (at some point) during this journey. Driving back from Ala on Monday, I couldn't thank him enough for laying out his plan so cut and dry to us (he even was able to provide pics of the fungus). Talk about Meg and H proofing a decision!! That is what I'm talking about.

I can't wait for the Sunday afternoon where I sit up on the couch and say:
"H, do you remember what trouble we went through to find this great house....."
H would at this point say yes while reading to watching tv
"Well, I'm glad that it's great and perfect".....then I would get back to my nap!

I'm ready for that Sunday afternoon.

Oscar Mayer the Wienie Dog

Oscar Mayer is our baby. That's so surprise to anyone. He is spoiled ROTTEN. To the core! In the midst of our ever busy week, I had to go to Hattiesburg to meet with clients, and H is on his way back from across the U.S. So, the big question was posed.....what do we do with Oscar??

Some of our dear friends Katie and Craig (who are expecting I might add and they are also vets) are keeping our dear sweet Oscar until H gets back to Starkville. Well, as soon as we get to Katie's home, Oscar goes and uses the BATHROOM in their bedroom! Thanks Oscar! Your mom appreciates the embarrassment!

As I was getting ready to leave, my little Oscar man started crying! I felt so bad to leave him! Little did he know, but he is in better hands with Katie and Craig (being the great Vets they are), than his crazy mama!

Here are some pics of my buddy when he was stuck in the sleeve of my sweatshirt...quite comical to say the least.

Sweetness

God blessed us when he brought Annabelle to the world! Precious does not begin to describe her....here are some pics of her from Easter.

Before the pics, here is a sweet conversations AB had with my dad:

AB: Uncle Bent, do you remember Mel? (disclaimer, my dad's name is Brent, and he had a cat named Mel)

Dad: Well, yeah AB, I remember Mel....

AB: Do you remember when Mel got ranned over in the road??

Dad: Yeesss......I remember????

AB: Yeah, me too. (and then she proceeds to play with her new Strawberry Short Cake Puzzle named Sweet in the City! :) )

Just look at this POSER!!
YIPPEE for Cavitites!!

This is her "fake" smile!

Sweet Home Alabama

Well, not really. It's not so sweet yet. There is still wallpaper on the wall!

H (handsome hubby Hunter) and I decided last night, 5 minutes after leaving Easter dinner with my family of 20, in the middle of a horrible rain storm and no previous conversations about our housing situation this weekend, we decided to buy the house instead of build. Just like that. We looked at each other.....and just like that we decided. We have NEVER in our wonderful married life, have EVER made a decision like that. H just spelled it out to me. It made sense. The light bulbs went off. God spoke in the midst of the storm. Literally. Without going into finance and square footage mumble jumble....we feel that we making the right decision. 100% positive. Not so sure what/where Meg-o will work in Alabama.....just waiting for God to show me the direction he wants me to go in. I need another thunderstorm! :)

So, here we go. Wallpaper is coming off the walls! Much paint will be used.....new furniture must be bought.......but the silver lining....we're gaining a POOL!! That's right! If you visit....you must paint a room first and then you can swim!

Gotta run....there are empty boxes that need to be filled!
