I've Been Tagged!
1) I LOVE LOVE meat lovers pizza. When I ordered mine and H's first ever pizza.....I didn't consult with him....I just ordered it. He FLIPPED! I think he fell in love at that moment. Just because I ordered a GREAT pizza!
2) I LOVE to cook! I will read a recipe....and then I give it my take on it.
3) I don't like riding in the car. I have the worst motion sickness ever! However, it only applies in the car. Generally if I eat while in the car......I'm fine though.
4) I NEED coffee to function!
5) I miss Grey's Anatomy!! I can't wait until September.......
6) I'm starting to like our new little town!
7) I don't like thinking of "things" about myself. I'm not that interesting......I can never think of stuff......

Observations from Alabama
Observation #1: They have tv channels where they sell things such as lamps, buckets, rugs and etc. It's like the trade winds catalog meets tv. Or the way I see it: QVC can no longer pay their employees and they called on volunteers and this is what you get! They even have a plastic banner behind their 6ft table!!
Observation #2: It gets DARK in Ala. At 4:30am when Oscar does his do in the yard.....it is DARK DARK here! I couldn't even find Oscar in the yard this morning....I started the "whisper yell" to find him.....I didn't want to wake up H, the neighbors or the subdivision dogs that love to urinate on H's grill!
Observation #3: Everyone here thinks Bear Bryant is alive! I have NEVER seen so MUCH CRIMSON!! Right now my little bulldog is in the garage by steps leading into the house......HE HAS TO BE MOVED!! I did find our MSU flag! I can't wait for football season!!
Observation #4: I know when our mail is delivered due to the fact our mail lady doesn't have a muffler on her car. Opps!! Here she comes!! No kidding!!
Observation #5: The "cool" hang out for the high school kiddos is behind the Texaco station. Like, literally behind the gas station.....
As I continue to learn about our new town......I'll keep you posted!
Oh, on a random note: today while flipping the tv channels......I stopped on the HSN channel. They were selling Waterford crystal. I'll admit, I watched for about 10 minutes. I love Waterford, I only have one piece though. Anyway, they had the most bubbly lady on there and a guy who should reside in California if you know what I mean. They were selling a BEAUTIFUL hand painted angel ornament. Very Very pretty. I'll admit, I almost bought it. They were winding down their talk, getting ready for the next item........and then, I lose it! Laughing out loud while watching a shopping network, at home by myself. Sad! The guy says "This angel is very stylish as well. She has on a gorgeous dress, and look........... she not only has high-lights, she has low-lights as well!"
No he didn't!
He didn't just talk about an angel having low-lights!!
I didn't buy the angel. However, I am about to purchase a sugar bowl. H broke my $40 sugar bowl. AHHHH!!!!

It Takes A Village...
This post is LONG overdue.....however, it takes a week and a half to get internet in Alabama!
Ya'll, I have so much to share and I am pre-warning, this post is going to be all over the place.....but, LARD....it's gonna be good!
I would like to first, thank the Village: Brent, Ellie and Mar! What a team we had going on!! Dad and H unloaded the Uhaul, Mar set up my ENTIRE kitchen....and mom and I would come up with furniture layouts.....and then change our minds.....and then change them again!
Mar! What a girl! She is the kind of friend that EVERYONE wants/needs! She just celebrated her one MONTH anniversary with her new hubby. However, she came to nowhere and helped us unpack and spent the night! Thanks to Stan for letting go of your girl to have her be my helper. If you really want to know the truth, I was more of her helper than she was to me!
Here is sweet Mom! What a trooper! I think if she were to have wreaked on the way to Alabama.....she would have never felt it due to all of the CLOTHES in her car! Her backseat was literally packed to the ceiling!
We have a LOT OF STUFF! However, you don't call it stuff when it's 2:30 in the morning and your STILL LOADING!!
So, we get to Alabama....and the realtor STILL didn't have all of our paperwork together. Imagine that. So, we did what any normal person would do.....we unloaded the truck!! We lived in someone else's home for 3 days before we closed!
After our stressful week, we made the collective decision to go and visit Jesus. Off we go.....we pulled up to church and it looked like a used Buick car lot!
We are not in Starkville anymore! No more college students making us feel younger! Church was good....more traditional than what we are use to at Crosspoint. However, sweet sweet people! The people we didn't get to meet at church, introduced themselves to us at Wal-Mart.
After church, we hit up the local Mexican restaurant. I mean, why break traditions now?? If you know me......I'm no quitter! We ate for $10 (not including tip!) My meal was $3.50!! Taco, beans, rice, tea, chips/salsa! Anyway, while admiring the decor at the Mexican establishment......I notice a mural of a Mexican Pirate Ship?? Seriously?? A Mexican Pirate Ship?? Of all the things that come to mind to paint on a wall......a Mexican pirate ship would be at the bottom of my list!
So, I added the Mexican pirate ship to my bullet point blog list that is on a white luncheon napkin that I have carried around for a week!
Next bullet point: Home run derby! Did anyone else become furious with their husbands for watching this? Talk about useless television!! GAHH!! I told H to never fuss at me for watching Desperate Housewives!
Next Bullet point: I burned my hand. Long story short.....I picked up a hot skillet handle. I am not one for pain. I don't even like for my blood to be drawn. I cried straight for 45 minutes. I didn't just cry. I BALLED....uncontrollably.....I cried the nasty cry. I talking mascara EVERYWHERE.....SNOT....I was crying like my mama just died! H and Oscar pretty much left me alone and let me be in pain.
Later in the night after a good dosage of pain pills and blueberry oatmeal.....H informs me that I am going to be a peach to deal with when "we" birth a baby. Haha...I like how he said "we"!
Well, it's time to start on dinner.....now that I have internet......I don't imagine that I'll have a shortage of stories to blog about!

Tuesday: Beach
Wednesday: Beach
Thursday: Wash clothes at beach and head to Lake Martin (Aunt Fran's and Uncle Jim's house)
Friday: Lake
Saturday: Lake with boat parade and fireworks
Sunday: Head to Starkville, pack up Uhaul
Monday/Tuesday: Move
In the midst of our WONDERFUL getaway......we were told we could not close on our home on Monday. After shedding tears, Meg-O got mad! I don't think that we are pushing this back. I am packed up. I'm sitting on go. My parents are coming to help and have taken off from work. Uhaul has been paid.......we are not pushing this back! I made a phone call and raised havoc! (In a nice Christian way of course!) I asked the oh-so-smart lady where she would like for me to send the bill for our hotel and prepaid Uhaul due her NOT SCHEDULING OUR CLOSING WITH THE ATTORNEY!! Are you serious! Why? Why is she making money off of us?? Why? This is wrong on so many levels. 10 minutes later, she called back and said we are now back on track on closing on Monday. Thank You! Why couldn't we have done this right the 1st time?? Why must you make me get ugly?? Why?? I am trying so hard not to be ugly to stupid people while doing my new Bible study! Why must you test me? My hour of prayer, Bible study and meditation on the pier at the lake was ALMOST shot to heck with this crazy lady!
Anyway, here are pics of our past week. It's ok to be jealous! On Monday and Tuesday, I will be wishing to be someone else as we unload our Uhaul!
Nathan looks so happy to hold Oscar up against his white shirt.
This is H in 2058! Bless his heart, this little old man gave me so many photo opts! I could not get to my camera fast enough to take the pic of him and his 78 year old wife asleep on the beach with their mouths WIDE OPEN!
YAY for SUMMER!! And KINDERGARTEN!!
5 year old glamor shot....
We had such a great time on Lake Martin with Aunt Fran and Uncle Jim! We will spend every 4th of July from here out on Lake Martin. I love Aunt Fran and Uncle Jim for a lot of reasons.....but, one reason near and dear to me is their ability to cook.
Thursday night: HUGE hamburger
Friday night: bacon wrapped filet mignon!!!
Saturday night: ribs
I defiantly got my fill for red meat in the last 3 days! We (H and I) ate so much, that after each meal, we had to take TUMS due to our HEARTBURN!!
Now it's back to the real world of moving and ham sandwiches!
