Rub-A-Dub-Dub.....

Guess who got in the tub??....with me?

That would be one Oscar Mayer the Weenie Dog.

No...I do not bathe with my dog....however, I did discover that he LOVES my big tub.

Here's how it happened. After SLAVING in the yard for an hour watering plants, I was in need of a relaxing bath with a small glass of vino.

I really could not relax while Oscar is whining and dying to stand on the ledge around my tub. No harm no foul right?? Oscar has walked around the ledge of the tub before.....granted there was not any water in the tub.

Anyway, he kept crying like a baby....so I put him up on the ledge.....he's sniffing, he's walking, he's licking some water, he's wondering around.

SPLASH!!

Oscar nose dives in the tub.

Oscar is in the tub with me.

Wet Dog.

What do you do??

I did want any normal clean person would do.....I kept shaving my legs.

I told Oscar that is he shakes while in the tub with me.....H and I would have hot dogs for dinner!

He understood.

So, I dried off Oscar and then hopped on over to the shower.

Lesson learned.

Count Down 'Til Christmas

I just love Christmas time. It's the cold weather, bright lights and great food that gets me going every year!

This year for Christmas, the Jones girls have it going on! We are truly living by the "your wish is my command" policy! If you go ahead and state what you would like for Christmas...there is a 99% chance you will get it. H has already told me 3 things that he wants. Guess what, I'm buying them when I take a quick trip to MS to see the fam. I mean, why wait?? Mark it off your list!

I buy Christmas gifts year round. Yes, I am bragging about this. I was not always this together. Well, if you want to know the truth, it's actually a facade. I just enjoy shopping. I have 50% of my Christmas shopping already finished. I have even bought my Christmas cards. I just like having stress-free holidays and drinking hot chocolate while people are making mad-dashes into the mall with 34,287 other people trying to buy a polo shirt or slippers.

Anyway, my mother-in-law is taking our new saying to quite the extreme. However, we are all benefiting from it and we are NOT complaining!

It all started when I wanted to make Beef Bourguignonne for a dinner party of 8 for Saturday night. That is going to be a blog post all on it's own......anyway, I told her that do not have a dutch oven and that I would be purchasing the Paula Deen version down at the local Wal-Mart. Donna said, absolutely not. This will be your Christmas gift........"pick out the color you want from Le Cresuet and email it to me."

Uhhhh.....SURE!!! I got right on that one. It's not everyday that some offers to buy you Le Cresuet!!

Ummm...hello, Meg-o didn't realize they START at $200!! I was so thinking $100!! Not quite!

Well, after the picking my jaw up off the floor, I decided there is NO way that I am going to let D buy this for me. So, I quickly found the Martha Stewart version from Macy's. Lovely. I just love Martha. Her dutch oven was only $60. Martha has come down on her prices since she's out of jail and no longer has legal fees! Goooo Martha!!

So, I emailed this one to D and told her that I would like the Martha Stewart dutch oven.

Well, it wasn't 10 minutes and D called. She was calling to inform me that she did not buy me the Martha pot and that she has already ordered my Le Cresuet......and Merry Christmas!!

I am getting the Cadallic of all dutch ovens!

Just in case H is reading this and is confused......I'm getting the Brett Farve of dutch ovens except my pot will never be retired into the cabinet, and then brought out of the cabinet and then back in and then back out! Maybe Brett wasn't the greatest example! :)

HELLO!! How lucky and I??? Can we all sing Jingle Bells in unison??

Now....I must perfect my Beef Bourguignonne!

A Very Mary Perry Weekend

How do you repay one of your best friends for helping you move into your home?? Do you write a thank you note? Do you take her out to lunch?? Do you send a gift card?? I don't think so....

You take her to Birmingham and make a day out of facials, manicures, pedicures, lunch, shopping, movies and LOTS of good gossip!

Mary had to not only deal with me.....moving in a new home....in July....in 110 degree weather.....but, she had to hang out with H who was MAD at me for tearing up our garage door within the first 5 minutes of us being in our new humble abode (disclaimer: the door is now fixed again....thanks to me though. I walked on egg shells to tell H the engineer what he needs to do to fix it.....and what do you know....it worked.)

Anyway....how do you thank a friend for being so self-less??

Well, I decided what I wanted to do for Mary the night we moved in the house.......Mary needed a facial! My conceitedness had NOTHING to do with the Mary Perry weekend!

Saturday morning we left @ 8am and headed for Birmingham.......we felt like queens: wining, dining, shopping, laughing, and being girls on our hubby's dime! :) Oh the perks of being married!! When I told H that I wanted to take Mar to the spa......he said, "well, why don't you just give her a gift card to the spa? That would save me some money by not sending you." Such a typical guy response! I don't think it works like that. Girls have to go in pairs to the spa. I quickly explained to H that me sending Mar to the spa by herself would be like me sending him to the golf course by himself.....or just buying 1 ticket to a football game where you didn't know anyone else. I think he understood at that point! Gah...what was he thinking......me going without her! Men are clueless! :)

Ok, switching gears here......as you know, I don't scrapbook. I blog. I blog because it takes 5 minutes and no brackets or special scissors. However, Mary is THE scrapbook queen!! I don't know if you remember me talking about having 3 incomplete scrapbooks. Well, since the scrapbook fairy doesn't exist.....I told Mar to bring some scrapbook stuff and I'll try to wrap up my scrapbooks.....LARD did she bring the scrapbook supplies!! She has a suite case with supplies in it.......that rolls.....that weighs 100 pounds! She pretty much has Hobby Lobby on wheels! I told Mar that I was just going to help myself to her supplies and then replace them. I think that my replacement money would be better spent on dirt than more supplies for her! She has a TON OF STUFF!!! Seriously though, Mar is a genius with scrapbooks!! She gives me great inspiration.....here's some pics of what I did Friday night until midnight and Sunday afternoon for 3 hours....................................................I live in the woods....what else is a girl to do?? Yard work?? House cleaning??

Here are some of the pages that I "created"....sorry about the poor quality...I'm tired and the flash reflects on the pics, so I turned it off.

We served Jones Soda at our wedding.....hence Jones being our last name......here are some of the groomsmen with their Jones soda.....

Again, the pic isn't bad....it's just what happens when you take a pic of a pic.....
This was when my sweet hubby was giving a toast in my honor!! How sweet is that!!

This is a pic of Donna, Mimi, Heather and Greg.....the sticker says "Mother of the Groom"

Observations from Yoga

This morning was my 1st yoga class in Winfield. Here are my observations:

1) I am the yougest person in class. By 30 years.

2) I can not balance well.

3) My mat is the cutiest one in the class.

4) There is an oxygen tank in the class. Comforting. The more I thought about this....the more it worried me. Generally, you don't have an oxygen tank in a yoga class. Maybe a step class, but not yoga. Someone MUST have needed air at some point for them to keep an oxygen tank in YOGA!

Ok...I've gotten several requests to post pics of our new home. Well, I'll get to that! I'll post pics of the clean rooms when I clean them. Since H mowed the grass over the weekend......that will be the 1st pic......tomorrow.
